The world shudders under the cold calculation of those who murder men, women, and children indiscriminately. Over twenty-five years ago I wrote The Omega Prophecy which predicted a future dominated by the influence of the terrorist. Although the terrorist we face at present is cut from a different fabric, The Omega Prophecy has been precisely accurate in predicting the social outcomes of terrorism. |
Terrorists using jet planes as bombs of fuel and blood are cut from the cloth of a fascist sect of Islam. The Omega Prophecy predicted the emergence of a terrorist rising from the collapse of Western culture. As the West unravels and cuts away the threads of its Christian origins, Western culture is left with a fabric woven from the threads of anarchy, godlessness, self-absorption, nihilism, naturalism, and narcissism. Today East meets West, eyeing one another with anxious, homicidal rage. Twenty-five years ago I saw that the loss of a God-given blueprint for Western society would bring about unthinkable uses of destructive technology. I realized that global culture was being cultivated in a manner that would provide a breeding ground for birthing more and more terrorists. I also saw that this would take place at the same time as nuclear, chemical and bio-tech weapons became more available to the wealthy or the resourceful. After much prayer, and with a reluctant spirit, I was inspired to write The Omega Prophecy. Twenty-five years later I would add to its pages what I see in the future as radical Islam feuds against a decadent West. As with all Old Testament prophecies, The Omega Prophecy also adds to its discourse with the passage of time. The fact that this prophetic word has stood the test for twenty-five years shows the credibility of the nearly faultless predictions within its first draft. Western culture is in a post-Christian era. The Christian understanding for culture is vanishing. Its disappearance is partly because of a growing lust for pleasure and ease. Christianity’s influence upon culture is also fading because many Christian denominations no longer know how to apply Biblical truth to culture. Each generation now establishes its own "truth," which is really social convention. Social convention cannot give us truth nor provide a basis for a peaceful and kind culture.. The Omega Prophecy is written in the genre of Old Testament prophecy. It is therefore a poet piece, written using the four classic components to Old Testament prophecy. It is a critique of the contemporary Christian church and global society. |
